Reblog this post and add a picture of a dinosaur. Any dinosaur will do. Is it a descendant of the most recent common ancestor of Megalosaurus and Iguanodon? Then great! Add it to the post. Birds, raptors, ceratopsians, hadrosaurs, even titanosaurs - just add a dinosaur. A good, friendly terrible lizard (because truly, they are terrible at being lizards. Good at being birds, though.)

Scientist taking samples of dinosaur teeth to measure isotope ratios - not sure exactly what she’s looking at, but measuring isotopes can give information about temperature conditions when things formed, what they were eating, where they lived, and a whole bunch of other things.

Anonymous asked: I saw a Reddit post where some girl on a trip to Australia stumbled across a cassowary (no idea what it was just thought it was a normal big bird) and took pictures with it, and was somehow not eviscerated and I want to know how that girl got so lucky not to die, and how dumb does she have to to see a giant ass dinosaur and not turn around and make like a tree.

I had to look up what a cassowary was, and it looked like a demon peacock. Why would anyone approach that in the first place?

Useful advice for you! These are Black Skimmers, which are remarkable because the lower half of their beak is much longer than the upper half.
